My name’s Van Oayda and I’m one of the founders and owners of Bondi Beach Tea Co. I started this business up in 2015. We sort of snuggled in there as a very high-quality contract manufacturer and retailer of award-winning tea blends that we could make available for our customers under their own branding. It’s a basically multinational, multimillion dollar business now. We have facilities in Houston, Texas, in the USA and we manufacture here in Sydney.

Our business model is not…We’re not a franchisee. We have a bunch of stores under one trademark. They’re all licensed business owners. They pay for the license but run the store the way they want. We have a marvellous in-store experience, but how do we connect the dots and showcase that online?
Prior to working with Digital Darts, we had a huge gap in paid search engine marketing. What we were looking for was to partner with an organization that could help us at an enterprise level because we have a unique business model and a brick-and-mortar component. In addition to an ecommerce stack, we wanted someone to actually work with us to help us with strategy more so than just execution and as opposed to bringing someone in-house. So we have our most successful store owner is in this town called Red Deer in Midwest Canada, which is very tiny.
